Dmitri Pavlov graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory with a major in composition and music theory. Since 1997 he has been living and working in Berlin as a composer, pianist and music teacher. He is the laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation and has been successfully represented in Cannes, Moscow and San Francisco with his film music. In particular, his music for the film “The Cuckoo”, directed by Aleksandr Rogozhkin, caused a stir in the professional world. At the international competition in Bourges, France, he received awards for his works of electroacoustic music.
In addition to film music, Dmitri Pavlov has also written for ballet, theatre and orchestra. He is the musical director of the festival “Brandenburg Monastery Summer” and cooperates with various companies and orchestras as Columbia Pictures, Euroarts, Sony Music, Deutsche Symphonie Orchester, Wiener Rundfunkorchester, Sankt-Petersburg Philharmonie.
